Family

I started my vacation yesterday morning. I will finally have a chance to spend quality time with my family. Yesterday I had a chance to spend the day with my niece, took her to lunch and dinner and she really enjoyed the time spent together.

I had a hard week at work, but thank goodness it has come to an end! Everyone enjoy their spring break weather. Remember we are half way there. Be proud of yourself for all of your accomplishments in life, strive to be better than you were yesterday, last week and last year.

St Patricks Day

What a day I had yesterday, was supposed to be a festive fun filled day, well at work a transformer caught on fire out site the building, all power was off from 2:00pm until midnight, UPS has to move packages, it was a true nightmare. But with hard work and teamwork we pushed the packages out manually and drove majority to the next closest buildings in Pennsylvania to be processed for delivery. Hope that never happens again.

103 years later

Looking through my company's policy book that has been in place since 1907, it reads a little something like this. We believe that people do their best when they feel pride in their contributions, when they are treated with dignity, and when their talents are encouraged to flourish in an environment that embraces diversity. We believe that innovation fortifies our organization through the discovery of new opportunities to serve our people and our customers. This is still very evident today over 100 years later.

Life's Attitude.

Wisdom is the sharing of wise experiences and knowledge, but a lot of it is common sense. The difference is how we apply this common sense - we all have the ability to keep going even when we face challenges in our lives - basically it comes down to your attitude. We can have a positive attitude towards life, or a negative attitude. We can focus on the good or we can focus on the bad. Keeping a positive mental attitude is one of the keys to success. The choice is always up to you!

Second Life

I had fun with my Avatar, it was hard for me in the beginning. If it were not for several of my classmates help, I wold not have gotten as far as I did. Thanks classmates !!! It was cool moving to all the different islands and hunting for things. I lost my hair at one point !! I could not turn around in some of my pictures. So I still do need help, but in all it was fun.

Horizons

You must learn day by day, year by year, to broaden your horizon. The more things you love, the more you are interested in, the more you enjoy, the more you are indignant about, the more you have left when anything happens. Education is a debt due from present to future generations.

Stress-less Day

Started a new job at work today. Less stress, that's what you need when you get older !!!Hope I can keep it up !!! Because working for a company for 22 years has had many stressful days. This is just another tool for my tool box.!!!

Career Move

Well, well, well here we go again, Friday i was told I will have a new assignment starting Monday, different hours and responsibilities. I guess I'm grateful they didn't say starting Monday you will have NO JOB !!!!! So I'll do it and be the best at it. I was just getting the hang of my new position I had since January. Better something than nothing in today's time. Wish me luck.

Back to the grid today, did not have time with the busy schedule yesterday, but I'm back. Weather is looking better, my health is good and I'm ready to start my March off right. Eat healthy, get plenty of rest, and pray. Those three things are essential for a good life. If your mind, body and soul is right, you can do anything. Irritation

You know what really bothers me to no end. If I'm in class and the professor is lecturing, why do I hear everybody else in the class carrying on side bars?! I didn't come to hear you, be quiet and talk when it's time to talk, you come to school to get something out of it, not to chit chat with your neighbors. Be considerate of others please.

Did not get a chance to blog at all yesterday. I did absolutely nothing but relaxed all weekend. So much needed rest. Good for me !! Working 60-70 hours a week and in school and taking care of a family takes a hefty toll on your body and mind. God give me the strength to continue. He always does.
